LED adapter
Several new smartphone models cannot use the ScanBox Pro included in each aligner kit without an LED adapter due to the placement of their rear-facing cameras and lights. The ScanBox Pro depends on a smartphone’s flashlight fitting within the grey cheek retractor tube. However, on some newer phones, the light is too far from the lens, requiring an LED adapter to provide light inside the tube for precise scans.

New and existing patients can order one LED Adapter at no cost through the ProMonitoring app after activating their account. Patients who need an LED Adapter will see an in-app prompt directing them to a website to place their order.

If an existing patient has already been scanning with the ProMonitoring app and has upgraded their phone, please have them order directly to their home through the ProMonitoring app.
How to use the LED adapter with your ScanBox Pro
The LED adapter is designed for simple setup and use. During initial use of the ProMonitoring app, it will notify patients if an LED adapter is required and provide clear video instructions for ordering or attaching it to the ScanBox Pro.
Troubleshooting Tips
The first 5 steps you should alway take when facing issues with your ProMonitoring app
- Ensure the ProMonitoring app is updated to the latest version.
- Toggle the Wi-Fi on and off to confirm an internet connection.
- Log out and back into the ProMonitoring app.
- Check that the phone has at least 50% battery life.
- If using an LED Adapter, ensure that it is charged.
How to log out and log back into your ProMonitoring account
The LED adapter is not free, it costs $12.50
The LED adapter is listed at $12.50 in the ProMonitoring app store, but it is actually free. The 100% discount is automatically applied at the final checkout screen, bringing your total to $0.
The LED adapter is sold out in the online store
The online store only allows one free LED adapter per person. If it shows “Sold out” and you have not previously ordered one, the system has likely already added the adapter to your cart automatically and is preventing a second adapter from being added. In this case, just click the product photo and checkout.
